The story

The 3-Litre was among the last Lagondas before the marque passed fully into Aston Martin's orbit, its twin-cam straight-six descended from the company's competition engines. Most were bodied as saloons or drophead coupés — the fixed-head coupé is a genuine rarity.

With a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive, Connolly hide and Smiths instrumentation, it offered luxury to rival contemporary Bentleys and Jaguars at a more attainable price — a distinction it retains today as an elegant entry into historic rallies and concours events.
